Onigiri with Ulva
Onigiri is a rice ball that is shaped into a triangle and is wrapped in nori seaweed.
Ingredients
- 2-3 cups of precooked short-grain rice
- 20 g. Ulva flakes
- finely chopped beetroot for garnish
- 1 nori sheet cut into small pieces the size of 1/8 of a nori sheet.
Instructions
- Mix all the ingredients, except the nori sheet.
- Using wet hands, compress the rice, the Ulva flakes, the chopped beet and create small triangles that would be easy to bite into. You can also use a special onigiri mold available in most Asian specialty shops.
- To serve the onigiri, place 1/8 of a nori sheet on each triangle. This makes it easier to hold and eat.
