Fried Fish Coated with Ulva Flakes

Ulva flakes enhance the flavor of fish.

Ingredients

  • 500 g. of any fresh saltwater white fish
  • 25-30 g. Ulva flakes
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup olive oil or other fat of your choice
  • one or two eggs

Instructions

  1. Coat the fish fillet with flour.
  2. Beat the eggs.
  3. Dip the fillet in the egg batter.
  4. Coat the fillet in the Ulva flakes. Pat the fish lightly to make sure that the Ulva flakes stick to the fish. 
  5. Deep-fry the fish in oil preheated to 150° C. for at least six or seven minutes, depending on the thickness of the fillets. 
  6. Place the fillets on a paper towel to absorb the excess oil.
